The scope of the upgrade project included following: Planning the upgrade; Sizing servers as per minimum technical requirements; Downloading and installing JDE 9.2 as parallel install; Creating standard environments in 9.2 – pristine, development, prototype and production; Installing Weblogic Instances for Server Manager, and JAS Server; Migrating users and security from 8.12 to 9.2; Implementing AD LDAP integration for user sign on in 9.2; Migrating data, objects and versions from 8.12 to 9.2; Creating Statistics for Migrated Data; Retrofitting custom objects in 9.2; Verifying migrated versions in 9.2; Assisting in redefining GL Allocations in new format in 9.2; Planning and conducting user acceptance tests (UATs) for standard JDE applications and reports pertaining to GL, AP and AR in 9.2; Identifying and running integrity reports for GL, AP and AR in 9.2; Fixing GL, AP and AR batch and data problems in 9.2; and Creating evidence for Audit. The scope also included custom development of following: Creating custom check format in BI publisher; Creating custom objects for Z-table Address Book uploads; Creating custom Financial reports – these period, quarterly, yearly, and cumulative balance format reports included Budget vs Actual Expenses, Cash Flow, Grouped and Individual Balance Sheets, Grouped and Individual Income Statements, Financial Highlights, and Financial Balances.

CCB Implementation (2014 to 2016) – This long term full time Customer Care and Billing project included data conversion from AS400 based ORCOM Customer Information and Billing System, security implementation, custom interface, and custom report development. The tasks included: Creation of data migration map. Design and development of custom data conversion routines in Java, AS400 DTF, Oracle SQL Loader, and Oracle PL/SQL. Development of scripts for synchronized launching of CCB conversion batch jobs required for data validation, key generation and data insertion. Execution of multiple full end-to-end conversions, including the one for go-live. Help with data cleanup by designing and developing scripts for pre-validation of ORCOM data. Creation of custom audit reports for data validation, batch run execution, end to end counts, execution timing, financial balances, variances, receivables aging, and data fixes. Implemention of security by defining user profiles, user groups, to-do roles, and user permissions. Development of custom XC2 Backflow System interface. Creation of custom BI Publisher reports for Export of Customer Data, and Custom Receivables Aging Report.

CCB Implementation (2014) – This long term full time Customer Care and Billing project included implementation of CCB security, definition of batch scheduler, analysis of migration tool (CMA) and database schema comparisons. CCB security – Set up LDAP integration between WebLogic and Active Directory, defined user profiles, user groups, to-do roles, and user permissions, Synchronized CCB authorization groups with Active Directory. Batch scheduler – defined CCB batch jobs for hourly, daily and periodic runs, documented parameters for each CCB batch, defined jobs streams and job dependencies. CMA – analyzed foreign reference errors created during object migration using CMA tool. Database schema comparisons – compared and reported configuration setup differences between CCB environments.

JDE Expense Integration with AMEX (2013) - This short term full time JD Edwards Enterprise One project included creating an inbound interface for JDE Expense Management System that brought in employee incurred credit card expenses from AMEX to JDE, and creating custom reports for JDE Vendor Payments. AMEX integration for JDE Expense Management – analyzed requirements, created design document, mapped AMEX and JDE codes, developed custom JDE interface objects (tables, views, applications, user defined codes, processing options, universal batch engines, and menus), conducted tests and promoted objects. The custom objects were designed so that users can easily identify and correct mapping errors. All maps were soft coded to cover any changes without programmer intervention. JDE Vendor Payments – created reports for AP Vendor Payments where the output was desired in PDF as well as CSV formats, created design document, developed custom JDE objects (processing options, universal batch engines, and menus), conducted tests and promoted objects. As the reports included several category codes from supplier master, CSV output was carefully designed so as not to drop any column in the output.

JDE Upgrade and Production Support (2010 to 2013) - This long term part time JD Edwards Enterprise One project included modifying version 9 install, tools release upgrade, check print, and assisting company with pre go-live support. The activities included: Applying latest Tools Release Patch (TR 9.1.2.4), migrating objects to v9.0 modified on v8.12 since last object merge, verifying availability of check print modification developed last year in XMLP and BI Publisher, performing data conversion iteration, assisting in user testing and finally converting data during go-live, and providing post go-live support as needed. Creating and deploying Microsoft Word (RTF) template for standard JDE check printing program R04572. The template included check details, company logo, MICR font, and authorized signature for amount threshold. This development was done using XMLP and BI Publisher technologies. Upgrading Tools Release from 8.98 to 9.1 in Windows 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and WebLogic 10g environment. Upgrading version 8.12 to version 9.0 as a parallel install and it was done in Windows 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and WebLogic environment. Install comprising of Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, Web Server, Server Manager, Environment setup, Object merge, and System data merge, Security Setup, applying latest ESUs and ASUs, and iterating data conversion.
